Teaser for the new short film “Colour”

The work on the script of the short film “Colour” is at the final stage. So we are publishing a short teaser:
Rembrandt_61
1796. Small Kingdom of Bohemia lies between Holy Roman and Austrian Empires and is torn apart by the nationalistic movement and foreign oppression.
Thousands of leaflets spread throughout the country contain the caricatures of Austrian rulers, especially the young and arrogant count van Straussbergen.
But a few know that the caricatures are actually made by a famous but poor bohemian still life painter Krystof Brzhezina, the master of astonishing bright colors, rapid painting and immense resemblance to the originals.
Krystof himself is unaware of his popularity. Being a member of the nationalist movement he is living quietly in a small and dark studio where he keeps his still lifes, canvases, lacquers and paints.
Despite his modest way of living, the fame of Krystof’s masterpieces reaches the palace of van Straussbergen. Young count falls for the unusual brightness of the paint and now wants to have a portrait done by Krystof overnight. He offers the painter a purse of gold for the portrait or he will take the painter’s life.
And so Krystof is left alone with a choice to make: either he obeys the count and betrays the nationalists and the leader of the movement - his friend Marek - or he loses his life to become a bohemian hero.
